Interim Head of FP&A (Part-Time)

The role:

A global think tank, who are leaders in their fields of research and policy design to influence a more equitable world, are looking for an Interim Head of FP&A to join them on a part-time basis of either 3 or 4 days per week for 12 months. This crucial position will report into the COO, and will lead and develop the organisation’s Finance Business Partnering/FP&A and Systems team of x4 reports.

As Interim Head of FP&A, your key responsibilities will include:

• Leading the production of management accounts, financial forecasts, and budgets. Providing financial advice and support to teams across the organisation, and external stakeholders
• Managing the annual budget process, supporting the production of consolidated results for the Board and Committees
• Working closely with, and challenging where necessary, Programmes teams and other departments to continue to improve processes and efficiencies
• Managing and continually improving finance systems effectiveness, ensuring data integrity and leading system-related projects

The successful candidate for this opportunity will:

• Be a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with experience at senior finance level within the Not for Profit sector
• Have excellent line management experience of both fully and part-qualified staff
• Be able to evidence strong examples of influencing senior leaders
• Have extensive experience working with, maintaining, and improving finance systems
• Be able to work in the organisation’s City of London office 2 days per week
