Risk Actuary – Assistant Director – Life Insurance

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team overseeing risk-based supervision of life insurers and groups in Bermuda.
• Develop and implement sophisticated insurance risk frameworks and market analysis programs.
• Provide in-depth analysis of macroeconomic trends and their impact on the insurance market.
• Model complex financial transactions, conduct stress testing, and assess financial stability.
• Conduct reviews and financial examinations to ensure capital adequacy and risk management standards are met.

• Offer expert advice on insurance risk management and supervision.

What We’re Looking For:

• A Master’s degree (or equivalent qualification) in finance, accounting, insurance, or related fields.
• At least 10 years’ experience, with a minimum of 5 years in the life insurance industry or within a regulatory body.
• A strong understanding of solvency risks and financial modelling.
• Leadership skills with the ability to train and develop a team of risk professionals.
• A passion for insurance and regulatory affairs, with a focus on emerging industry trends.
