Senior accounting manager

A global fashion retailer is looking to recruit an ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified candidate to join its finance function.

This newly created role will become a key member of the Financial Control and Accountability Team and will be responsible for the accounting quality within European markets

Main duties include:

• Management and ownership of two local markets with direct line management
• IFRS reporting, including additional quarterly and annual disclosures
• Hold regular discussions with Corporate Planning, Inventory Accuracy and Procurement teams to aid P&L management and business insight, whilst actively seeking cost saving initiatives for the business
• Build relationships with store management and the Ecommerce business to identify potential accounting issues and to aid management’s understanding of their P&Ls
• Review and scrutiny of the balance sheet across each market
• To conduct deep dive reviews by market or by accounting function
• To build a robust review process for reporting, compliance and controls
• Coach and train the centralised accounting and AP functions dealing with transactional processes 

You will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA quality with a background in accounting and controls within industry, preferably retail. Someone who has impacted change, whether that be systems, controls, processes is highly desirable
