Strategic Asset Manager

Role Purpose:

As Strategic Asset Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of a robust asset management strategy for our social housing portfolio. Focusing on safety, compliance, and sustainability, you’ll ensure properties are fit for purpose and provide excellent value for money.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver asset strategies aligned with compliance, sustainability, and organisational goals.
• Conduct stock condition surveys and identify underperforming assets for improvement or redevelopment.
• Manage capital investment budgets and ensure performance and financial targets are met.
• Lead a team of asset management professionals and foster collaboration across departments.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental standards, including decarbonisation initiatives.
• Engage with residents to incorporate their feedback into asset strategies.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Essential Qualifications:

  • Degree in a relevant field (Asset Management, Surveying, Housing Management).
  • Membership of RICS, CIOB, CIH, or equivalent professional body.
  • Evidence of continued professional development in asset management.

• Experience:

  • Strong background in strategic asset management within social housing.
  • Proven experience managing capital investment programmes and budgets.
  • Expertise in housing legislation, building safety, and sustainability initiatives.

• Skills:

  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Analytical skills with proficiency in asset management systems.
  • Commitment to net-zero targets and customer-focused service delivery.
